1. A wonderful time in Vietnam after the A levels, as i spent my first Lunar New Year here after 4 years and as i got to work at Avnex
2. Good A level results that made me have faith in myself again and be so thankful to people who had faith in me even more than i did (without you i wouldn't have lasted through the night before)
3. A challenging and fulfilling period after the A levels, for i had fun working and getting to know people at Times and TJC after the dismal experience at BarCelona and the month that followed
4. The stay at Tampines with Kai Lin, Ying Herng, Sherly, Stanley, Kong Jien and Eunice (and for a period of time Tiang Lim and Adrian). Such a wonderful thing i don't want it to be a memory...
5. STB FireFly scholarship, which brings me closer to my dream, and which brings me great friends who have become an important part of my life

Five (good) baddest things of 2006 =(

1. A No from UChicago, which came as No surprise looking at the Uncommon imbalance between my grades and the school's requirements
2. Unsuccessful application to NUS law that made me take leave from work and stone on the sofa for the entire afternoon just thinking about it and that was it
3. A best friend gone, which brings the realization that the relationships in my life, no matter how kindred, could fade with time... i felt so cheated...
4. An extremely poor first semester at SMU, which sees my GPA free fall to rock bottom scores, in which there was no CCA... much against my expectations...
5. The not so good 3 weeks in HCMC at the end of the year, during which i did nothing, during which there were 3 black outs and during which bad memories linger

yeah just playing my pen to capture the best moments of 2006, good and bad. glad it's easier to write for the "most significant events" than for the "baddest things". glad i could speak, see, listen and feel. glad i've grown through the good times and the bad times. and glad there're unfulfilled wishes to hope and work for in the new year!
